Tim Lang, the CEO and Founder of Global Liquidity Partners, is an equity trading professional with 40+ years of Wall Street experience.  Tim has managed trading desks and served on senior management committees at Merrill Lynch, Spear Leeds & Kellogg and National Discount Brokers.  Although his main focus was on the equity marketplace, his duties also included the trading of a variety of other asset classes.  His interest in technology, insight into the potential of electronic trading and entrepreneurial spirit motivated his founding of Phoenix Third Market. Phoenix was the first automated platform to make markets in listed securities servicing the startup Internet Brokers.  He became an early advocate of NMS committees and served on many through those early years.  This experience led him to a senior position at Swiss American Securities, a subsidiary of Credit Suisse.  At SASI Tim created and managed an electronic market making platform that traded over 3000 listed securities.  He continued his education of the evolving NMS regulatory landscape and was a strategic advisor within the firm.

Tim founded GLP in 2010 with the vision that there was a significant technology void in the equity marketplace due to all of the fragmentation and his goal was to create a best in class, performance driven execution services platform.  Since January of 2011 GLP has been successfully servicing the broker dealer community in providing a full suite of solution driven algorithmic strategies.  Tim and GLP have expanded the offering over the past two years and now provide customized solutions and algorithms to the buyside as well.
