TIM LANG, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Tim Lang, the CEO and Founder of Global Liquidity Partners, is an equity trading professional with over 40 years of Wall Street experience. Tim’s vision of GLP in 2010 was driven by his belief that there was a technology void in the equity marketplace due to all of the emerging fragmentation of trading venues. His goal was to create a best-in-class, performance-driven equity execution services platform. His role at GLP is all-inclusive as he remains active in strategy design, marketing, client relationship management and staffing.
Over Tim’s career he has traded equity and other asset classes, managed trading desks and served on management committees at Merrill Lynch, Spear Leeds, National Discount Brokers and Swiss American Securities. His interest in technology, insight into the potential of electronic trading and entrepreneurial spirit motivated his founding of Phoenix Third Market. He was an early advocate of NMS committees and served on many through those early years.
JOHN CRUMLEY, CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
John Crumley has been involved in technical management and development in the financial industry for twenty years. For the last ten years, John has been intimately involved in the creation and growth of Global Liquidity Partners, LLC in various roles including CTO and COO. Prior to GLP, as Managing Director of TBA Enterprises, John was responsible for the successful completion of a variety of projects for high-speed trading including matching engines, orders management systems, and best execution optimization platforms. These projects have involved both exchange-based systems as well as systems for market makers and specialist firms. John holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
KRISTEN MURPHY, CONTROLLER
Kristen Murphy has been with GLP for over 10 years and is responsible for finance and accounting. She has been the FinOp for ACS Execution Services, LLC since 2015.
Kristen has been in the industry for over 20 years. She started out at Rock Island Securities, a specialist firm on the Chicago Stock Exchange, where she worked in clearing and accounting. After that, she was part of the accounting department at Electronic Brokerage Systems.
VITO BOTTA, EXECUTION AND TRADING ANALYTICS
Vito Botta manages the testing and performance of all liquidity sources, works closely with Markit on client trade analytics, and designs our in-house TCA. Vito is a past member of the Chicago Stock Exchange and Principal at LaSalle Capital, LLC with 40 years of experience in the securities equity markets. Vito has experience in trading, operations risk management, and execution analysis combined with strategic algorithmic spread index analysis. Vito also was instrumental in the design and development of a real-time best execution variable pricing system for preparation and analysis of SEC Rule 605/606 routing disclosures. Vito served on the Chicago Stock Exchange Board of Directors.
MATTHEW FIEDLER, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Matthew Fiedler leads the continuing evolution of our trading platform. He keeps abreast of and researches new technologies to ensure GLP continues to utilize the best available.
Matthew brings 20 years of experience in development and technical management in the trading industry and 30 years in the broader technology industry.
